What a fabulous blog, I have been taken back in time to the 70s when I worked for Sid and Stan Cole out of the yard in Cowes. The EKO was my first dredging experience, but I did also do a spell on the old Friargate and managed a trip or two on the Allard before moving briefly on to ARC marine. I am still readind through your blog, but had to congratulate you a brilliant and informative work, Thank you
Good times remembered I was mate on the sand opal out of Bristol between 1972/73 with skipper Reg Woodford dredging off flat holm and portishead in the Bristol Channel
Congratulations Captain, superbly researched information.Kindest regards."Bilko".
